Certification Terms
The purchase and participation terms for Matrix Codes Practitioner Certification.
Version 2026-08-31-v2 · effective 31 August 2026
1. Parties and priority of these terms
The seller and programme operator is Matrix Codes Method Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17196911, with registered office at 66 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NA.
These terms apply specifically to Matrix Codes Practitioner Certification. They supplement the site Terms of Service and take priority if there is a conflict about this certification.
If you buy for a business, you confirm that you have authority to contract. If you buy as a consumer, you keep all mandatory consumer rights.
2. What the purchase includes
The one-time purchase provides access to two linked training levels, the included manuals and resources, two exams, a 20-session portfolio, a recorded Practical Skills Demonstration, and the assessment process.
The certification window is six calendar months from access being granted. Practitioner-group and weekly Zoom access lasts 90 days; private assessment messaging remains available during the certification window. Your dates are shown in the certification hub and welcome email.
The Level 1 manual is available in the training hub. The private Google Drive library is shared manually as view-only with the account email, normally within 24 hours. Level 2 access depends on passing Exam 1.
3. Eligibility and account
The programme is for adults aged 18 and over. No prior modality qualification is required, but certification does not make you a doctor, psychologist, psychotherapist, counsellor or other regulated professional, and does not extend your legal scope of practice.
The purchase and progress belong to one account. You must not share account credentials, exams, recordings, manuals or library access with anyone else.
4. Price, payment, tax and coupons
The price, currency, applied discount, tax (if any), and total are displayed before you confirm payment in Stripe. You are charged only the final total accepted on the checkout page.
Coupons and promotion codes are subject to their stated expiry, redemption limit and eligibility. They have no cash value, cannot be combined unless expressly stated, and cannot be applied after checkout is complete.
Stripe processes payment; we do not store full card details on our servers. An invoice or payment confirmation is supplied electronically.
5. Immediate access and cancellation rights
The programme is a package of digital content and services involving human support and assessment. Before payment, you expressly request digital content and services to begin during the 14-day cancellation period and acknowledge that, once digital-content supply begins, you may lose the right to cancel that digital-content part to the extent permitted by applicable law.
If applicable law lets you cancel the service part during the cancellation period after requesting an early start, we may make the lawful proportionate deduction for services supplied up to cancellation. We do not apply a blanket no-refund rule over statutory rights.
To cancel, send an unambiguous statement to the address below before the applicable deadline. You may write: ‘I hereby cancel my contract for Matrix Codes Practitioner Certification’, with your name, account email and purchase date. We will acknowledge receipt. If we supply any physical goods, the separate statutory rights applying to goods also remain available.
6. Assessment and certification
Payment provides training access but does not guarantee certification. You must complete the required modules, pass both exams, and obtain approval of the portfolio and recorded practical within your certification window.
Exams 1 and 2 are marked automatically against the published pass marks. The portfolio and practical are assessed by a person. You may raise a technical error, conflict of interest or reasoned review request through private messaging or support. The final credential is not awarded by an AI system.
We do not guarantee an outcome, number of retakes, extension or completion. Reasonable process, accessibility or deadline adjustments may be considered individually without lowering the competence standard.
7. Safety, consent and work with other people
Matrix Codes is an educational personal-development method, not therapy, diagnosis, crisis support, or medical, legal, financial or tax advice. You must work within your own competence, obtain informed consent, maintain confidentiality, and refer to an appropriate professional or emergency service where required.
Practical work is with adults only. Before recording and uploading a demonstration, you must obtain the participant’s separate written consent covering assessor review, temporary private storage and recording deletion. You securely retain evidence of that consent.
Do not upload client files, diagnoses, identity documents, payment data or unnecessary sensitive information. Minimise portfolio and recording content to what assessment requires.
8. Assessment integrity
Your exam answers, portfolio and demonstration must be your own work. You must not share protected questions, answers or materials; impersonate another person; falsify sessions or consent; or use AI or other assistance in a way that presents someone else’s work as your competence.
We may investigate a credible integrity concern, hold a decision while it is reviewed, and reverse a result or credential obtained by fraud, after giving a proportionate opportunity to respond.
9. Practitioner licence and intellectual property
The materials, Code corpus, names, software, questions and processes remain our or our licensors’ intellectual property. Before certification, you receive a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence for learning and assessment only.
After certification, you receive a permanent, personal, non-transferable licence to use the supplied Code corpus in your own client practice. It does not permit copying, publishing, reselling, bulk extraction, building a competing database, or training or certifying others in the method without separate written permission.
Your practitioner number is a permanent qualification record. Public directory visibility is separate, may require an annual declaration and current professional insurance, and is not guaranteed indefinitely.
10. Availability, changes and support
We may make reasonable updates to materials, security, technology and assessment process provided they do not remove the essential value of the purchased programme or lower its standard. Planned or emergency maintenance may temporarily limit access; we will take reasonable steps to restore it.
Technical, billing or assessment questions can be sent through support or the email below. Group and Zoom support is educational support, not individual therapy or a guaranteed private consultation.
11. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud, a payment dispute, confidentiality breach, participant risk or material breach of these terms. Where appropriate, we will tell you the reason and route to respond.
A refund or payment dispute may end the corresponding paid access. Termination does not remove confidentiality, intellectual-property, record-keeping or other rights and duties that by nature continue.
12. Quality and liability
Digital content and services will be supplied with reasonable care and skill and as described, subject to statutory rights for faulty or non-conforming digital content, services and goods. Nothing excludes liability that law does not allow us to exclude, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or mandatory consumer rights.
We do not guarantee a particular professional outcome, income, client volume, personal-development result or uninterrupted third-party service. If you act in business, we are not liable for indirect loss of profit, revenue or opportunity to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. Privacy
How we handle candidate, practical participant, payment, exam, recording and retention data is explained in the versioned Certification Privacy Notice.
14. Law, complaints and contact
The contract is governed by the law of England and Wales, but this choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protection under the law of their habitual residence. Court jurisdiction is determined by applicable consumer law.
Please contact us first so we can review a complaint. This does not restrict your right to use an applicable regulator, court, consumer centre or other statutory route.
